Neena Wins Gold, Neeraj Qualifies For World C'ships




Women sprinter Dutee Chand also did better than the first leg as she clinched a silver in women's 100m dash with a timing of 11.57secs. Viktoriya Zyabkina of Kazakhstan took her second gold of the Asian GP in 11.36secs. 

Dutee had clocked 11.59secs to bag a bronze in the first leg. 

In women's 800m event, Tintu won her second silver of the Asian GP but with a far worse timing. She clocked 2:06:32 to finish second behind Wang Chun Yu of China (2:05.86). 

National record holder Luka, who celebrated her 28th birthday yesterday, had clocked 2:03.50 in the first leg. She has a personal best of 1:59.17. 

Former national record holder Karhana took his second bronze of the Asian GP with an effort of 18.73m. 

In men's 800m, Jinson Johnson, who had won a silver in the first leg, had a forgettable day as he finished eighth with a below-par timing of 1:53.76. 

India had won seven medals (1 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze) in the first leg. The third leg will be held in Chinese Taipei on April 30.
