4. Tata Q501

The home grown carmaker got some big plans this year as they are planning to launch two SUV's models namely Q501(5 seater) & Q502(7 seater). Modern aluminium infused 'Q' platform is used both these models. Reports suggest that Tata has ordered for 70,000 units of Fiat's 2.0-litre Multijet turbodiesel engine for these SUV's. This engine can produce a peak power of 169.9bhp against 350Nm of torque. The Q501 SUV comes with manual and automatic gearboxes. The 5 seater Q501 targets the family buyers and to add off-roading the company offers high water wading capacity and ground clearance to tackle tough road conditions. It is expected to hit the road by the end of the year as per the reports.
