The Lost Towers
Kempe Gowda II, the grandson of Kempe Gowda - founder of Bengaluru, built four towers to predict the future growth of Bengaluru (old name Pete). The towers were built at the four corners of the city and placed Dharmarya Swamy temple as the center point. The brilliance in this ancient architecture is that all four towers are built to geometrically intersect in the X shape at the gopuram temple. These towers are a concrete example of the futuristic vision of Kempe Gowda and his descendants.
