1. Wayanad
Renowned as the green heaven of Kerala, Wayanad is one of the largest coffee producing districts in Kerala. Termed as the coffee county of Kerala this high altitude district is characterized by the cultivation of perennial plantation crops and spices including Coffee. Even though both the coffee verities- Coffee Arabica and Coffee Robusta are grown in Wayanad, Robusta coffee produce is more than 95 % of the total coffee cultivation done. The farmers generally grow coffee plantations under the shade of spice plantations mainly pepper so that the Coffee can be protected.
