Ananthapura Temple

This lake temple situated in the Ananthapura village of Kasargod district dates back to 9th century. It is believed that the temple structure of today is only a section of a large temple complex, as temple ruins can be found all around the lake. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his idol can be seen sitting on a five hooded serpent.
