Scindia Launches Air India Express Flights Ayodhya-Bengaluru and Kolkata
The inaugural Air India Express flights linking Ayodhya to Bengaluru and Kolkata were officially launched by the Union Civil Aviation Minister and Jyotiraditya Scindia, coinciding with the upcoming Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple on January 22. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was presented with the first boarding pass for the maiden flight from Kolkata to Ayodhya, symbolizing the initiation of air connectivity between the two cities.
In a post on X, the Union Minister emphasized the country "becoming established as an economic and spiritual power" under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi "Only a few days are left for the consecration of Lord Shri Ram and many historical works are being completed to establish Ayodhya as a religious capital", he said.
Scindia emphasized that the recently launched Air India Express flights will not just enhance connectivity between the three cities but will also invigorate India's economic, social, and cultural influence. Additionally, he underscored the remarkable progress and development unfolding in Uttar Pradesh, highlighting its unprecedented growth.
The Union Minister mentioned that last November, Diwali was celebrated, followed by a second Diwali on December 3 with the announcement of election results. He expressed that on January 22, a third Diwali would be observed, not only for the entire country but for the entire world.
On his part, Yogi thanked Scindia for the launch of the new air service and for "all possible support with special focus on the air connectivity of Uttar Pradesh". In a post on X, Air India Express said: "#DilYePukare, ab #SaryuKinare! We are proud to have started our inaugural direct flights to Ayodhya from @aaikolairport and @BLRAirport today, along with our daily direct flights from @DelhiAirport.
