Royal Enfield Limited Edition Models Sold Out In An Hour


BANGALORE: The new limited edition Despatch Rider from Royal Enfield was made available to book earlier this week. The bookings started at 10AM and within next hour the bookings were closed as the Royal Enfield fans booked their bikes. All the 200 models were sold out even the ones with the higher price tags, than the regular Enfields, as it was priced at 2.16 lakh, reports IndiaToday.

Only two variants will be manufactured in India and it will be differentiated by its color. The Squadron Blue and Desert Storm are the color schemes, only 100 of both the bikes will go for production.

The novel limited edition motorcycle’s design is influenced by war-era despatch riders. The bike comes with camouflage pattern to give military grade toughness in its looks. The new bike is a lot different than the previous Royal Enfield models. The war-era Despatch rider theme coloring is also evident on engine, lamp casing, indicators, exhaust and silencer with Matt black finish on them.

The limited edition Royal Enfield bike is powered by a 500cc engine and it is capable of exerting a thrust of 27.2Bhp. The standard five-speed transmission of regular Royal Enfield is carried in the new bike. The unique camouflage pattern is achieved by hydrographic print with human handling.

Each limited edition bike has distinctive imprint on them such as aluminum hallmarks that reads information about the bike’s manufacturing details and it also has the limited edition number.
