Patrick Stewart To Star In Indie Film 'Green Room'

Los Angeles: Actor Patrick Stewart will star in an upcoming indie movie 'Green Room'.

The thriller will be written and directed by Blue Ruin filmmaker Jeremy Saulnier. Patrick, 74, joins a cast that includes Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots, said The Hollywood Reporter.

The film centers on a punk band headlined by Yelchin's character who witnesses a murder committed by a group of racist skinheads. They are trapped in the green room by the gang, who tries to kill them. Poots plays a skinhead whose friend is the murder victim and who joins forces with the band.

Stewart, who most recently appeared in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' reprising his role as Professor Charles Xavier, will play the ruthless leader of the Pacific Northwest-based white supremacist organisation.

The film is produced and financed by young company Broad Green.
