In a major push to unlock the next wave of growth in India’s fast-growing gaming sector, Meta announced the launch of the Meta Gaming Accelerator an incubator programme aimed at empowering small and medium-sized gaming developers across the country.
India’s gaming industry has witnessed exponential growth in recent years, driven by mobile-first usage, a booming creator economy, and the rapid adoption of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI). Recognising the enormous potential, Meta’s new initiative seeks to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.
“India’s gaming community is a hotbed of creativity and innovation, but to unlock its full potential, we need to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity”, said Arun Srinivas, Managing Director and Head, Meta (India). “That’s why we’re launching the Meta Gaming Accelerator to provide Indian gaming developers with access to cutting-edge ad tools, expert mentorship, and critical guidance that they need to scale their businesses and take on the world”.
Launched in partnership with four leading venture capital firms Bitkraft Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Lumikai Fund, and Elevation Capital the accelerator will initially support 20 to 30 emerging Indian game developers and studios.
The structured curriculum will offer strategic mentorship on monetisation, user acquisition, global scaling, and AI-driven game development. Developers will also learn how to integrate Meta’s AI tools, such as Llama, into their game creation processes.

Srinivas added, “By combining expert sessions from Meta with structured guidance from the country’s top venture capital firms, we aim to create global launchpads for Indian gaming companies”.
