Honda Jazz 2015: Launch Date, Features, Rivals And More

BENGALURU: After the success of Amaze and Honda City, the Japanese car maker Honda is ready to launch the new version of it’s not so successful ‘Jazz’ in India but will it be a turnaround this time? Well in order to know that here goes the list of 5 important things you should know about the all new Honda Jazz 2015, reports ET.
Launch Confirmed: Jazz is expected to hit the markets from the month of July. To be more specific, 8th of July could be the official launch. Announcement came with the image along with a teaser of the car in official social media accounts of Honda.
Engine: As of official announcement by Honda, the car offers 1.2-litre i-VTEC with 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque in petrol mill and 1.5-litre i-DTEC with 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque in diesel engine. Petrol engine is devised to get 5 speed manual or CVT and Diesel to get manual transmission.
Adopted Features From City: although it’s a new variant there are few features adapted from its own make that include wing mirrors (with turn signals and power folding function), the multifunction three-spoke steering wheel, a 15.7 cm touch screen AVN (Audio Visual Navigation) system, a touch panel for the automatic climate control, and many more.
Bench Mark For Fuel Engines: with the introduction of diesel variants from Honda there has been some good mileage numbers raked up by its cars that are keeping buyers on their toes while choosing a car. And going by the new jazz which is lighter than city, means it will set some benchmarks.
Rivals: With the ex-show room price ranging from
4.7 lakhs to 8 lakhs, Tata Bolt, Maruti Swift, VW Polo, Fiat Punto Evo, Hyundai Elite i2 are the tough rivals in the market for Jazz and the all new jazz might just be a game changer for Honda in the hatchback segment.
