Engines - 1.2L TiVCT petrol and 1.5L TDCI diesel
The Aspire is available in both petrol and Diesel, wherein the petrol engine come with a 1.2- liter block , found in the Figo and a Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (TiVCT). It gives out a power of 80-85 Bhp and 110-115 Nm of torque, fixed with a five-speed manual.
Diesel:
The Aspire Diesel gets the Ecosport and Fiesta’s 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine which may be a little slow compared to its Eco sport. However, this engine will put up a fairly competitive show in its segment.
6-speed dual clutch ‘Powershift’ Automatic and a Ti-VCT Petrol
The Aspire gets a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission with a 1.5-liter Ti-VCT motor and is mainly available in Mid-size Sedans. Most of us believe that the Vento or the Rapid were the two mid-level Sedans that brought the dual-clutch auto box into the mid-Sedan range. It seems that we are mistaken. It was the Ford Fiesta 1.5-liter Ti-VCT PowerShift that marked the entry of the dual-clutch. However, the Aspire comprises of the same mechanicals of the Fiesta.
