Domestic fashion giant Brand Studio Lifestyle, owner of brands like Tokyo Talkies, Highlander, Vishudh, Ketch, and Locomotive, has made the Middle East market entry official, making this a milestone moment for the D2C-fostered brand.

First Foray into UA

The brand has partnered with Raphael Lifestyle to debut three flagship stores across the UAE: one at BurJuman Mall, Dubai and two locations in Sharjah (Mega Mall and Sahara Centre), covering a combined footprint of 14,000 sq ft. These outlets span 5,000 sq ft (Dubai & Mega Mall) and 9,000 sq ft (Sahara Centre), reflecting a robust physical retail presenc.

Brand Studio Founder & CEO Shyam S. Prasad underlined that the collaboration is not merely about retail stores it's a strategic foray as an entry for wider regional market coverage, including multi-format retail networks throughout the GCC.

Middle East Expansion Roadmap

The company is targeting to open 7 more stores in the Middle East by the end of the current fiscal year, further establishing its cross-border presence.

Aggressive Expansion Back in India

While expanding globally, Brand Studio Lifestyle is expanding in India as well with a bold plan to open 38 new stores locally by the end of fiscal year doubling its store count from 37 to 75.

At present, the firm has operations in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Delhi, and expansion is being sought in new regions such as Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana. Apart from individual retail outlets, it will be introducing 600 shop-in-shop locations in the form of partnerships with large format stores (LFS) and multi-brand outlets (MBOs).

Business & Investment Outlook

Brand Studio Lifestyle has COCO (Company Owned, Company Operated) and COFO (Company Owned, Franchise Operated) models with 4 COCO and 33 COFO stores currently running. The future expansion will be in the same formats, exploiting hybrid retail design.

Revenue is driven mainly by e‑commerce (60%), followed by offline retail (25%), direct D2C channels (8%), and other distribution channels.

This year, the brand is going to invest  25 crore in its growth and marketing plans. It had wound up the last fiscal with a Gross Merchandising Value (GMV) of  1,200 crore and is looking to achieve  1,300 crore by the end of the year.
