NEW DELHI: The organisers of Auto Expo 2016 said its 13th edition from February 5 to 9 here is poised to be the biggest automobile carnival in India till now.

As many as 1.25 lakh visitors are expected to visit the show everyday, a rise of 20 percent in footfalls over the 2014 exhibition.

Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India, Confederation of Indian Industry and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) will organise the five-day event.

"We applaud the efforts that have gone into making this edition of the Auto Expo bigger, better and more exciting," SIAM director general Vishnu Mathur said in a statement here.

This year's Auto Expo will not face a space crunch like the 2014 event as the gross indoor exhibition space has been increased from 67,000 square metres to 73,000 square metres.

Apart from regular exhibitors, Auto Expo 2016 will witness new entrants Abarth, BMW Motorrad, Jeep, DSK Benelli, Polaris and Indian motorcycle.

A 'Bollywood Corner' in Hall 16 will showcase cars and bikes used in some famous Hindi movies while members of the superbike clubs in the National Capital Region will ride to the show to pep it up, the statement said.

Tickets for the show are also available at the Metro stations at Rajiv Chowk, Botanical Garden, Pragati Maidan, Mandi House, Jasola, Dwarka Sector 12 and M.G. Road.
