Bangalore: When we talk about the highest paid profession, the picture of athletes or movie stars comes to our mind. Although a celebrity chef does not generate as much money as the former professionals, they are still included among the highest paid ones. A kitchen chef becomes famous and well known once they host cooking shows on television. They cook some of the most delicious food in the world for a huge price. These are the ten top-earning celebrity chefs in the world, as listed by Forbes.

Gordon Ramsay:

The top earning chef in the United States with a global income of $38million owns 24 restaurants round the globe, 11 Michelin stars, numerous cookbooks and TV shows. Scottish-born Ramsay is well known for his venomous comments in the shows "Hell's Kitchen" and "Master Chef". Recently at Las Vegas he had opened a steak house. He has even plans for India with Mumbai on his radar. He has been involved with a series of charitable events and organizations. His entire business interests (restaurant, media, and consultancy) are held in the company Gordon Ramsay Holdings Limited. He even acts as consultant to numerous catering organizations and was recruited by Singapore Airlines. He also has many awards to his fame.

Rachel Ray:

The second highest earning chef surprisingly does not own a restaurant of her own. She won audiences by some catchy phrases like "EVOO" (for extra virgin olive oil) in her first show, 30 Minute Meals. The owner of $25 million has four food network programmes which include Tasty Travels and $40 a Day. She is keen towards spreading the knowledge and love for food through cookbooks. Her ‘Every Day With Rachel Ray’ magazine has more than 1.5 million readers. The ‘Book of Burger’ is the 20th and the latest book by her. The lifestyle programme is hosted by her. She launched a non-profit organization called Yum-O! to empower kids to develop a healthy food habit.
