BENGALURU: With the new emission norms coming in and people switching to newer versions of cars, all the old cars which have been there in the Indian market from a long time have hit a dead end. So, here are some cars which have replaced in the market by the newer models or stopped production completely as compiled by the Zee news.

# The Hindustan Ambassador

Known as "The King of Indian Roads" and the most iconic cars of the country which is a well-known symbol for the rich and powerful, the Hindustan Ambassador was the most famous car in India. The car was first produced in 1958 and is the longest produced car in the country.

Hindustan AmbassadorMade by the Hindustan Motors of India, the Ambassador is identified by its white color and a red beacon as this was the most preferred choice of the politicians. The car had a very prominent role in the car market in India and came up with many models till Maruti 800 stepped in, the production of Ambassador has been suspended by the company since May, 2014.
