Maruti Suzuki's 5 New Cars & SUVs for 2016

BANGALORE: With competition heating up in the Indian automobile industry, the country's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), is planning to bring in several new and face lifted products in the New Year. Along with some facelifts, we will also witness MSI venture into new segments, like sub-compact SUV, sub-compact MPV, compact crossover, and premium hatchback. So, if you are planning on buying a vehicle in the near future, auto.ndtv shares a list of the 2016 Maruti releases that should be considered.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara sub-compact SUV

Expected Launch: April 2016

First unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, the Vitara is the production model of the iV-4 concept. Since the iV-4 shares its platform with the XA Alpha, it seems that the product being released in India will be the Vitara and not the XA Alpha. Also, now that Hyundai India has decided to bring in the ix25 compact SUV, which measures over 4 metres in length, Maruti Suzuki India is all set to launch the Vitara here. It is pertinent to mention that the company is also working on different SUV models that will be based on the iM4 concept.
