Honda BR-V SUV to Storm Indian Roads

BENGALURU: This is a year of SUVs! Honda adds to the list with its recent launch— BR-V SUV. Car lovers can book their Honda BR-V SUV from dealers. Honda is competitively pricing its SUV between 8lakh to 14lakh to compete with other SUV’s in the Indian market.

Expanding the seating capacity to a seven-seater, the BR-V SUV gets into competition with other SUVs of five-seater category. Honda claims that the SUV has an additional knee room and head room. The SUV has an overall length of 4456mm, width of 1735mm, and height of 1650mm which makes it look like a mammoth in size. In addition to the dimensions, the SUV has a wheelbase of 2660mm and ground clearance of 201mm making it easy to run over terrains and mounds. The dimensions of Honda BR-V SUV forge it to have a longest wheel base and enables it with a third row seats.

The exterior looks are designed with projector headlights with LED light guides, diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails, skid plates and rear spoiler’s that gives BR-V SUV an aggressive look. It is not the looks that are commendable but the power and speed that the Honda BR-V SUV delivers with both petrol and diesel variants. The four-cylinder, 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine develops 120bhp at 6,600rpm and 145Nm at 4,600rpm, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is also available for the SUV with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) systems. The dashboard consists of automatic climate control system, an integrated Bluetooth enabled music system and controls-mounted steering. Design of the dashboard is similar to that of the Honda Amaze with dual front air-bags. Honda BR-V SUV also features Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Hill Start Assist (HAS).
