DSK Benelli TNT 25 to Be Launched On Dec 18
BENGALURU: DSK Benelli will launch its 250cc DSK Benelli TNT 25 in India sometime later this month. This bike will be a competitor for the Mahindra Mojo, KTM Duke 390 and others in the segment. The launch date for Indian market is set to be tomorrow i.e. December 18, according to financialexpress.com.
Although it looks strikingly same as the Benelli TNT 300 with its styling, the DSK Benelli TNT 25 is powered by a four-stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled 249.2cc engine, producing 24.1bhp of power at 9,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission and top speed is expected to top 145kmph mark. The Benelli TNT 300, the smallest displacing Benelli offering on sale now, is powered by a liquid-cooled 300cc in-line twin cylinder engine.
When it comes to styling, the DSK Benelli TNT 25 leaves no edges as it’s an entry-level naked sport-bike and borrows its design cues from its elder sibling TNT 300. With features such as multi-spoke alloy wheels, sculpted tank, split seat and side slung exhaust, the TNT 25 certainly looks quite sporty. The bike also features a part-digital-part-analogue instrument cluster.
Besides being the cheapest bike from Benelli in the country, it will also be the first bike from the Italian bike-maker to feature a single-cylinder engine. The TNT 300, currently the most affordable Benelli bike, features an in-line 2-cylinder engine. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Benelli TNT 25 is expected to be priced between Rs 1.80 lakh – Rs 2.0 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price, Mahindra Mojo and KTM Duke 390 will be its closest rivals.
