New Hyundai Tucson to Launch in India by Mid 2016
BENGALURU: After huge success from Creta, Hyundai India is all set to bring another 5 seater premium SUV ‘Tucson’ to India in mid 2016. After being previewed at 2015 Geneva Motor Show Hyundai claims that the 2016 Tucson will underpin the same platform as the Hyundai Santa Fe and will be priced at 
20-25 lakh (ex showroom Delhi) reports, IndiaToday.in
Although Tucson didn’t have the success and the liking what Creta has today, most feel that the car rather went unnoticed even though it had some brilliant features to its name. So leaving those aside, let’s look at what the company has on offer with the 2016 model.

Engine Specifications
Although the 3rd generation Hyundai Tucson which is the current model is on sale by the company worldwide, it is the only SUV by Hyundai that is not sold in India. With that said, the India-bound model is expected to come with a 2.0-litre, CRDi diesel engine that could power out a peak torque of 175bhp and maximum torque of 402Nm, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Tucson might also come with the FWD/AWD option system.
Design & features
In terms of design and features Hyundai is never short of it and the i20 is a great example of it. Nevertheless, seeing the above picture of the 2016 Tuscon one can say that it certainly carries few elements from its elder sibling the Sanfe.
Competitors
If you take a rewind back to the launch of the old Hyundai Tucson way back in 2005, one can say that it had a very few rivals to take on but the Indian SUV market has evolved quite drastically over the years and it way more competitive now. So with its arrival in mid 2016, the new Tucson will rival against the likes of Honda CR-V, Nissan terrano, BMW X1 and Chevrolet Trailblazer in its segment.

Expected Price Tag 20 lakh to 25 lakh (ex showroom Delhi)
