Safety Features:

Alto 800 has been given a more rigid chassis than its predecessor that gives the car the stability it needed while driving high-speed on the highways. Its Tilt Power steering makes the car easily controllable in cranked city roads. Turning radius of 4.6 meters also makes it an apt choice for the city roads. Alto 800 has been bestowed with a McPherson Strut front suspension and a Coil Spring Gas Filled Shocks rear suspension. The top model will come with driver-side airbag, power window and a remote central lock.

The interiors of the new Alto 800 will come in dual tone and are certainly more attractive than its predecessors. The car is conferred with a beautifully designed central console and an instrumental panel with the instrumental system placed neatly on the top. The amplified height of the car gives ample head-room and a 15mm increased rear knee-room. The dashboard has also undergone a complete new transformation and is raised to accommodate the new circular air-vents.

Though Maruti claims a whole new design philosophy implemented in the new Alto 800, it looks more or less like the Maruti A-star. The front-end has mounted headlights that have been given a black detailing this time. The grille reminds of Ford Figo and has a chrome strip running across the middle. However, the air-dam and sculpted bumpers in the new Alto give it a sporty feel. The rear again resembles the A-star but the bumpers and the new tail-light gives Alto 800 its distinct look. The height of the car has been significantly increased that gives it ample ground-clearance of 160mm and makes the car look taller.

The petrol version of the new Maruti Alto 800 is expected to cost nealry 2.39 Lacs (Ex-showroom Delhi) for the basic model and might reach up to 3.09 Lacs for the top model. The CNG model will range between 2.79 Lacs-3.49 Lacs.
