Car Of The Week: Chevrolet Sail Sedan

Bangalore: Chevrolet, the 5th largest car maker in India has launched sedan version of its hot hatch, Sail. Engineers have skillfully combined the extended boot with the hatch body, which makes the new one a perfect competitor to some of the entry and mid level sedans out there.

Chevrolet Sail Sedan was launched on early February 2013 at New Delhi, with the starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh all the way up to Rs 7.51 lakh for the top end diesel model. This progression currently has fewer competitors but has been accepted very well by the customers for its shockingly low price.

Engine:

Buyers had expected the Sail sedan to be equipped with a bigger and more powerful engine, but the company has retained the petrol motor of 1.2-litre unit developing 86 PS at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm at 4400 rpm, while the diesel Sail sedan is powered by the 1.3 litre Multijet engine which develops 78 PS at 4000 rpm and 205 Nm at 1750 rpm.
