Car Of The Week: 2013 Audi Q5


Bangalore: While the frontrunner of India’s luxury car segment is still undecided, Audi, the claimed fastest growing luxury car maker in the country had launched its latest version of the SUV Q5 into the market this week, intensifying its competition between the German counterparts, Mercedes and BMW, who altogether defined the term “luxury” to Indian roads.

Audi who wrestled with Mercedes and got the second spot in India last march, is planning to gain the first spot from BMW with the help of Q5, consolidating its leadership position in the luxury SUV segment.

The updated Q5 has been launched with new elements in design, infotainment, and assistance systems. The luxurious SUV offers three engine variants -2.0 TDIq, 3.0 TDIq and 2.0 TFSIq, priced between Rs 43.16 lakh and Rs 48.71 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).

 

Exterior:

It’s been for the first time since its release, Audi is performing a facelift in its Middle segment SUV Q5. Subtle changes are made in the exterior with the front sporting a grille with new hexagonal design. New headlights, which comes with an LED treatment is the most attractive part and a new bumper accompanies the look along with new air inlets and front fog lamps.
