Being the chairman of HCL, the 4th largest software services provider of India, Shiv Nadar is the third richest Indian in the world. Having founded HCL in the mid-1970s, Nadar transformed the IT hardware company into an IT enterprise in the next three decades. Nicknamed as Magus (translated to wizard), Nadar was awarded Padma Bhushan for his excellence in 2008. He founded Shiv Nadar Foundation with an aim to enhance the education in rural areas. As of now, Nadar currently holds the 82nd position in the world in terms of net worth.
