Pratibha Patil was the first and only woman to hold the office as a President from 2007 to 2012. She also served as the Governor of Rajasthan from 2004 to 2007. While she was in charge of Presidential office, her official car was upgraded from the Mercedes Benz W140 S-Class limousine to the Mercedes Benz W221 S-Class S600 Pullman limousine. The W221 S-Class S600 is the successor of W140 S-Class of the luxury saloon and it is specially customized to a Pullman limousine just for the use of the Indian President.
