Around 6.5 million Firestone tires were officially called to return in the year 2000 when shredding, blow out and failing of the tires led to many deaths. Firestone Tires mostly found place in Ford SUVs and light pickup trucks. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was reported of 271 deaths and 800 injured owing to these faulty tires.
