Siju Caves
Location: Tura , Meghalaya.
Famous as Dobakkol or the bat cave, this is the third longest cave in India. Located in the right bank of the Simsang River in South Garo Hills, this cave is a real challenge to explorers. It’s dark with no artificial lighting. Also, the perennial stream flowing beneath with its aquatic creatures add to the excitement of the traveler. On your visit, you can also go to the nearby Siju Brid Sanctuary which is home to many rare and protected birds and other forms of wildlife.
Ekaddal Caves
Location: Wayanad, Kerala
One of the earliest centre of human habitation, this binds appealing historic evidences with the stone scripts, pictorial wall inscriptions of human and animal figures, symbols, swastik forms, wheels, bows, trees and so on. Located in Ambukuthi Hills of North Kerala, these caves lie 1200ft above the sea level and hence the view from top is worth a life time experience.
