Vada Paav (India)

Also known as the ‘Bombay Burger’, Vada Paav is a deep fried potato dumpling placed inside a bread bun sliced almost in half through the middle. People usually have Vada Paav with two or more chutneys, mostly the green chili pepper one. Chutneys could be made of peanut, tamarind or mint and coriander. This carbohydrate-rich snack catered to the mill workers in Girangaon and later became popular in the rest of Maharashtra. Now it’s available at all the popular metropolitan cities in India.
