9 Maruti Swift Alpha

Prior to the launch of Maruti Ertiga and the new shortened version of Maruti Swift Dzire, the company depended on its popular model Maruti Swift for monthly sales. At this point of time Maruti came up with the special edition of its hatchback in the Indian domestic market, named Maruti Swift Alpha (petrol variant) in the month of April, immediately after the launch of Maruti Ertiga in the same month.

The special edition offered in the Vxi variant came up to the market packed with an array of features including Bluetooth equipped music system, speakers, designed floor mats, comfy rage accessories, door visors, door sill ground, mud flaps and rear spoiler.

The limited edition petrol variant was put on sale without any hike in the price. This special edition was an effort by Maruti Suzuki India to encourage sales of the petrol version which accounts only for 20 percent of the company's monthly sales.

10 Maruti SX4 Celebration

This sedan from Maruti, once was popular in the Indian roads; but has lost its glory recently. We are talking about Maruti SX4; though having a diesel version launched in February 2011, it is facing slumping sales every month.

In order to lift up its sales statistics, Maruti recently hatched the limited edition. When the cumulative domestic sales of Maruti Suzuki India crossed 10 million units mark, the company decided to celebrate the auspicious occasion and launched the celebration edition, Maruti SX4 Celebration.

Though, this special edition too could not do much to increase the sales of SX4 and this sedan is still selling in insufficient numbers every month.
