She is the UNICEF national ambassador for promoting child rights and adolescence from 2010. She has been associated with a number of NGOs to raise awareness about ways to improve the condition of the girl child in India. She has also been a part of the UN’s global “Girl Up” campaign. She is also the brand ambassador of NDTV's Greenathon, an initiative to support eco-friendliness and improve electricity supplies to rural villages.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

The former Miss world and one of the most beautiful women alive, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a UN Microcredit Spokesperson. She has also extended her hands in support of PETA India. She pledged to donate her eyes to the Eye Bank Association of India, and appeared in a public awareness film on eye donation. In November of 2004; Aishwarya Rai created the ‘Aishwarya Rai Foundation’ to help needy people in India.
