New Delhi is gearing up for a high-energy day as football legend Lionel Messi brings his GOAT Tour to the capital on Monday. This marks the fourth and final leg of his India visit, following stops in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
Messi’s Delhi schedule is tightly planned and includes a mix of football, fan engagement, and high-profile meetings. The city has stepped up security and traffic arrangements to manage large crowds expected for the global icon’s visit.
All events will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Gates will open at 11:30 AM, while the main program will begin at 2:30 PM. The opening will feature live music, followed by a celebrity exhibition football match at 2:50 PM. Messi is expected to join the match around 3:30 PM.
Later, he will take part in a special football clinic for 30 children at 3:45 PM, highlighting his focus on inspiring young talent. A stage ceremony is scheduled for 4:20 PM and will also include the GOAT Cup exhibition match. Star cricketer Virat Kohli is among the notable attendees expected at the event.
In the evening, Messi will attend a private meet-and-greet around 4:30 PM. As per the tentative plan, he is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by interactions with the Chief of Defence Staff and the Chief Justice of India. These meetings underline the significance and prestige of the visit.

To ensure smooth movement, Delhi Traffic Police have imposed traffic restrictions across Central Delhi from 12:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday. Parking near the stadium will remain closed, with strict enforcement through towing and penalties. Authorities have urged fans to use public transport, including Metro and buses, to avoid congestion.
Messi’s visit is expected to draw massive attention, blending football, celebration, and star power into a memorable finale for Indian fans.
