Sift Samra of India wins the gold medal in the 50-meter rifle 3 positions competition on September 27, and Ashi Chouksey takes home the bronze. With a score of 469.6, Sift Kaur Samra won the gold medal and broke both a world and an Olympic record. In contrast, Ashi Chouksey finished third in the eight-woman final with a score of 451.9. With a score of 462.3, Qiongyue Zhang of China took home the silver medal.
Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, and Rhythm Sangwan, an Indian women's 25m pistol team, also won a gold medal today at the Asian Games. The trio earned the top podium slot and India's fourth gold medal in the ongoing sporting spectacular with a combined score of 1759. By winning the qualification round after the previous rapid-fire series and scoring 98 there, Manu Bhaker stood out.
With a combined score of 1756, the Chinese team won the silver medal, and the South Korean shooters took home the bronze medal for third place with a combined score of 1742. Hosts South Korea took home the bronze medal with a combined score of 1756, while China earned the gold medal with a total score of 1773. Samra and Chauksey both made it to the championship round. Samra came in second, Chauksey came in sixth, and Kaushik finished 18th to end his participation in the individual competition. With a total score of 594, Samra qualified with a joint-new Asian record.
