Dravid Appointment As India 'A', U-19 Coach Brilliant: Pietersen


MUMBAI: England batsman Kevin Pietersen lauded Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) decision to appoint batting legend Rahul Dravid as coach of India 'A' and Under-19 teams.

"BCCI appoint Rahul Dravid as U19 & A team coach! Absolutely brilliant! Imagine how those players will feel in a room & training with him!" Pietersen tweeted on Sunday.

The 42-year-old former Indian captain has been a part of the Rajasthan Royals setup in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as their mentor.

Dravid had amassed 13,288 runs from 164 Tests and 10,889 runs from 344 One-Day Internationals.

"Rahul Dravid - temperament king, in touch with the modern day game, scored runs all over the world & a v tough competitor! Well done, BCCI!" Pietersen said.
