Worst Ever Industrial Mishaps which Caused Irreversible Damage
BENGALURU: The thirteenth anniversary of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, reminds us how horrible industrial disasters can be. Unlike natural disasters, industrial disasters have irreversible repercussions in that region. Millions of people have suffered through such disasters for which they are not even responsible for. And most of these disasters are either due to negligence, incompetence and some where just an outcome of pure bad luck.

Halifax Explosion:
The World War I period witnessed more than anticipated losses.
In December 1917, Mont Blac, a large ship which had been called on to transfer the munitions to Europe for war purpose collided with another ship in the bay of Halifax. This was the largest man made explosion in the history of mankind. And for the residents around this area, it was no ordinary clash.As many as 1600 people were instantly killed and over 12,000 buildings were flattened. It was said that hardly any plain glass remained intact.
