Dialysis Equipment
FM Arun Jaitley crops price charges of dialysis treatment announcing tax exemptions on certain parts of dialysis equipment in this Union Budget. At the same stage, he introduced the National Dialysis Service Programme which describing, “Funds will be made available through a PPP mode under the National Health Mission to provide dialysis service in all district hospitals to reduce cost. I propose to exempt certain parts of dialysis equipment from basic customs duty, excise CVD and SAD.”
Set Top Boxes, Router, Broadband
Prices of IT hardware like modems, routers and set-top-boxes has gone down up to 8pct from this Union Budget. Also, an investment of 
10, 000 crore will be made in order to encourage local production of these electronic gadgets at more competitive prices by availing tax exemptions.
