Vivek Ramaswamy Explores America Ahead of 2024 Presidential Elections

Indian-American Republican and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy plans to announce his 2024 presidential bid, joining Nikki Haley, who is set to launch her campaign.

Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American Republican and businessman, plans to run for presidential elections in 2024 alongside Nikki Haley. Millionaire Ramaswamy, 37, has been dubbed CEO of Anti-Woke Inc. by the New Yorker Magazine and is currently conducting trials and fact-finding missions in the American state of Iowa.

Mr. Ramaswamy claimed that his visit to Iowa and other preparations for a prospective candidature are genuine and that this is not a play for attention. He is considering a presidential candidature, among other things, to see if Republican politicians, businessmen, and farmers will take seriously his warnings about the perils of wokeism and socially responsible investing. His campaign will not rely on his success as a businessman but rather on his ideas to re-invigorate the American spirit and reintroduce the meritocratic culture.

Mr. Ramaswamy expressed his belief that he has built a vision for American national identity. Further, he disclosed that this vision is the outcome of his path of having lived the benefits that the nation has offered him. Being able to both do it intellectually and have personally experienced that vision of this nation made him well suited to articulate and deliver it.

Born in Cincinnati as the son of Indian immigrants, Ramaswamy’s father was a General Electric engineer, and his mother worked as a geriatric psychiatrist. After graduating from Harvard University, he studied law at Yale University. He initially gained fame as a biotech entrepreneur and creator of five approved medications by the FDA. He is married to Apoorva Tewari Ramaswamy, an assistant professor and surgeon at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

He launched Strive, a new asset management company, more recently after penning two books and touring the nation. Strive competes with firms like BlackRock but sets itself apart by advising businesses to avoid becoming involved in politics. Ramaswamy is regarded as one of the intellectual forefathers of the anti-woke movement after making countless television appearances. The chances of entering politics consequently grew more appealing. His first thought about running for office was in 2021 when he considered running for the Ohio Senate but ultimately decided against it.

The money he would bring forth to the race might prove important to political advantage. Ramaswamy is expected to have a net worth of more than USD 500 million, which would be sufficient to fund his campaign in the key early stages of the campaign. He remarked that the GOP has a historic opportunity to answer the question of what it means to be an American at the moment when the nation lacks a national identity.

Ramaswamy will travel to New Hampshire next week ahead of the Iowa primary contest. In the weeks following his Iowa trip, Ramaswamy has taken steps that someone who would be preparing for a long-shot presidential campaign might.
