Viagra, LSD And 8 Other Accidental Inventions

Microwave Oven

“Magic in homemaking”
Purpose:

A machine which is capable of firing high intensity beams of radiations was the basic idea behind the invention of Oven’s. Percy LeBar Spencer was a self educated engineer working closely on radar technology during the World War II. Maybe he wanted to help his country by making a device capable of killing hundreds.

Invention:
He had a sweet tooth or a craving for chocolate; he had a chocolate bar in his pocket that melted when he was in his busy experiment. He noticed that his body heat had melted the chocolate; he made a scientific conclusion that invisible rays of radiation had melted the chocolate. Though many mocked, calling it weird names because the chocolate melted in his pockets near the scrotum, he treated the invention with novelty. He later used this concept and boxed it successfully to make eggs explode and corns pop and slowly used it to cook food. The initial version was massive in size, 6 feet tall and 750 pounds but today we simply carry and walk with it to different rooms to make movie watching simple.
