Universal Account Number: Activation Process And Its Uses

Now when the government is providing so many benefits to each UAN it subscribers, it’s high time for all countrymen to spend few hours and get their accounts activated. Even you can be entitled to all the UAN benefits.

How to initiate your UAN plan might bother you? But as per Economic Times we summarize the method in five easy steps:

Basic Step
Get your UAN and Member id (Company id) from your employer. This is the most basic need for your PF account. You will also need to update the Member Id every time you change your job. The UAN however remains same.

KYC
Gather all your KYC documents like Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Driving License, Voter ID Bank account details, IFSC code. Before you upload the e-version of these in the EPFO website, do get it verified by your current employer.

Website Access
Once you get access of the KYC documents, UAN number and Member ID of your current organization, log in to the EPFO website.
