Tributes Paid to Lt Navdeep Singh
Srinagar: The Army paid tribute to Lt Navdeep Singh who died in a gunbattle in which 12 infiltrating militants were killed in Gurez sector of north Kashmir. General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army's Srinagar- based 15 Corps Lt Gen Syed Atta Hasnain paid floral tributes to the 26-year-old officer who died in the encounter yesterday. Singh was commissioned in March this year in the Army Ordnance Corps and was serving in 15th Battalion of the Maratha Light Infantry.
