The Books That Forecast About the Future




"1984" (Nineteen Eighty-Four):

Undoubtedly George Orwell’s most popular book, ‘1984’ published in 1949 is the definitive novel of the 20th century that describes a dystopian future.

This story remains eternally fresh and contemporary, and terms like "Big Brother", "doublethink" and "newspeak" that have used in the novel have become part of everyday language.

Nineteen Eighty-Four has been translated into over 65 languages and millions of copies was sold worldwide, giving George Orwell a unique place in world literature.
