Texts, The Best Mode of Communication for 'Sensitive' Indians
Bangalore: The advancement in the field of information technology has led to a growing number of smart phone and internet users in the country. As such, 69 percent or seven out of every ten Indians prefer communicating through an e-mail or a text message rather than voice-to voice or person-to-person mode of conveying messages, reveals a recent study by Ipsos, an independent market research, reports Business Standard.
The study was conducted among 18,502 adults across 25 countries in August and it was found that 43 percent is the global average, which is quite less as compared to India’s average.
People prefer texting sensitive comments such as ‘I love you’, ‘Our relationship is over’, ‘You are fired’, ‘I failed in exam’, rather than saying them over phone or face-to-face. This is done to stay away from embarrassment.
