Tata Power's Sanitation Drive Benefits 6,700 Homes In FY16
MUMBAI: Tata Power today said it has provided 6,700 households across the country with access to sanitation facilities during last financial year, protecting the health of over 36,700 children from various diseases.
"Through this initiative, we wish to promote the use of toilets and spread awareness about the necessity of maintaining sanitary hygiene. We hope that through this initiative, we will be able to provide a healthy environment for people living around our project areas," Tata PowerManaging Director and CEO Anil Sardana said in a release issued here.
Tata Power is India's largest integrated power company with a growing international presence and with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities has an installed gross generation capacity of 10,496 MW and a presence in all the segments of the power sector.
