Tata Motors Unveils Fifth Vehicle Scrapping Facility
Tata Motors said it has commissioned its fifth registered vehicle scrapping facility near the capital. Developed in partnership with Johar Motors, the registered vehicle scrapping facility (RVSF) has a capacity to Tata Motors has inaugurated its fifth registered vehicle scrapping facility (RVSF) near Delhi in collaboration with Johar Motors, affirming its commitment to sustainable practices. With an annual capacity to safely dismantle 18,000 end-of-life vehicles, the facility is equipped to handle both passenger and commercial vehicles from various brands.
Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors, highlighted the significance of this initiative in promoting responsible vehicle disposal and fostering a circular economy. The launch of the fifth RVSF underscores the company's dedication to making sustainable practices more accessible.
Operating under the banner of 'Re.Wi.Re Recycle with Respect', Tata Motors already runs similar facilities in Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Surat, and Chandigarh. These facilities are designed to dismantle end-of-life vehicles while prioritizing environmentally friendly methods.
The establishment of the new RVSF reflects Tata Motors' broader commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility. By creating value from scrap and promoting ethical recycling practices, the company aims to contribute positively to the automotive industry's environmental footprint while meeting regulatory requirements for vehicle disposal.
