Statiq Launches First EV Charging Station in Ayodhya for Green Mobility
Ayodhya welcomes its first electric vehicle (EV) charging station as Statiq, in collaboration with fleet partner MyEVPlus, inaugurated the facility at Laxman Kunj smart vehicle multi-storey parking. The station boasts one 60 kW DC charger (dual gun) and four 9.9 kW AC chargers, each featuring three sockets of 3.3 kW, enabling simultaneous charging for up to 14 electric vehicles. Statiq, having deployed over 7,000 charging stations across various cities, aims to establish 20,000 EV charging stations by the end of this year.
Akshit Bansal, Founder and CEO of Statiq, emphasized the station's role in supporting tourism and enhancing accessibility for devotees visiting Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. MyEVPlus CEO Prashant Jain highlighted the broader objective of fostering a sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation landscape.
This development follows Uber's introduction of its EV auto rickshaw service in Ayodhya earlier this year, aligning with the growing trend towards electric mobility in the region. The charging infrastructure signifies a crucial step towards addressing the increasing demand for EV facilities and promoting a greener transportation ecosystem.
