Spanish PM Arrives in Vadodara for 3-Day Historic Visit
This was the first visit by any head of state of the European country to India since 1998. Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez arrived for a three-day visit to India and will hold discussions during his stay here on strengthening bilateral relations with Modi.
He said that normalization of ties with India is important for the country as India plays a great role in international affairs. During this visit, he would be laying the foundation stone of the Final Assembly Line Plant for C295 aircraft, a product of the 'Make in India' initiative developed by Tata Advanced Systems and Airbus Spain.
Sanchez is scheduled to visit Mumbai and meet with business leaders of India in the fourth Spain India Forum shortly. Sanchez is expected to present cooperation with the Indian film industry on the respective media sectors of Spain and India during this visit.
Agreements most probably to be signed comprise cooperation in the fields of trade, information technology, renewable energy, and cultural exchanges. This visit has created an opportunity to strengthen India-Spain relations in each field.
