SHARP India Appoints Sujai Karampuri as Chairman
Consumer electronics giant SHARP announced the appointment of Sujai Karampuri as the Chairman of its India Business, effective immediately. In his new role, Karampuri will spearhead SHARP's Display Business in the country, focusing on bolstering the brand's presence and forging strategic alliances for manufacturing and technology transfer of engineering products and solutions.
Expressing his confidence in SHARP's capabilities, Karampuri stated, "With SHARP's legacy of pioneering technological advancements across various sectors, I am optimistic about our prospects as we pursue our vision". He emphasized a commitment to uphold SHARP's core values of sincerity and creativity, which he believes align with India's aspirations to excel and emerge as a global leader in electronics, display, semiconductor, and precision engineering.
According to SHARP, Karampuri's leadership will drive the company's efforts to expand its footprint in India's display market and promote its consumer electronics brand. Additionally, he will focus on fostering strategic collaborations in manufacturing, technology transfer, and development of smartphone components, among other areas.
Osamu Narita, Managing Director of SHARP Business Systems (India), expressed confidence in Karampuri's leadership, foreseeing a thriving future for SHARP's India Business under his guidance. Narita affirmed SHARP's commitment to India's evolving business and technology landscape.
Robert Wu, CEO of SHARP, reiterated the company's dedication to India with Karampuri's appointment as Chairman. This move signifies SHARP's renewed commitment to the Indian market and its strategic objectives in the region.
