After getting over 7,000 resumes in the previous 72 hours, Aditya S Kapur, Senior Partner and a Serial Founder from Chennai posted on LinkedIn that he was amazed. According to Startup Capital's Senior Partner Aditya S. Kapur, the business solely posts job positions on Indeed and the website.
"There were countless applications submitted to it," Aditya added. "Because we are a relatively new firm in the market, we are not accustomed to this type of volume. Even though there were only three job profiles which are StartUp associate, Business Development Associate (BDA) , and Customer Relationship Officer (CRO), we nevertheless received an enormous number of applications. It is obvious that the employment market is difficult at the moment.
Most of the resumes were submitted by jobless applicants. But he also got applications from folks who were already working but wanted a change their roles. The repercussions of the economic crisis are being felt by many people. They are searching for positions with more work security or for a fresh start. Aditya stated that the resume evaluation process is still ongoing at Startup Capital, by the Partners. He said that the organization was searching for potential humans with a range of abilities, such as marketing, business management, networking and operations.
Aditya's LinkedIn article gained a lot of attention and debate over the situation of the Indian job market, that resulted from it. There are many who think the large number of applications indicates a very competitive job market, while there are those who think it merely indicates that many brilliant individuals in India are seeking employment as a result of the large number of layoffs that are taking place. Although Aditya said, "We're excited to see what kind of talent we can attract." With the appropriate individuals, we're sure we can expand our firm.
