The 11th edition of the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year (LMOTY) Awards was a grand celebration of excellence across various fields, held at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. The ceremony brought together some of the most influential figures in politics, business, entertainment, and social service to recognize individuals who have made a lasting impact on Maharashtra.
Maharashtra's Leaders And Achievers Recognized
The event was attended by Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Rahul Narwekar. Vijay Darda, Chairman of Lokmat Media Group, former Ministers Rajendra Darda, Jayant Patil, and Abhay Bhutada, founder and chairman of the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, presented this year’s awards.

A major highlight of the evening was Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv, receiving the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Award for his contributions to the financial sector.

Other distinguished awardees included Brahmavihari Swami of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Special Commissioner of Mumbai Police Deven Bharti, Minister for Industries & Marathi Language Uday Samant, and Minister for Women & Child Development Aditi Tatkare. They were all honored for their exemplary contributions to social service.
