Rajeev Mantri assumes role of Chief Financial Officer at Bandhan Bank
Bandhan Bank has appointed Rajeev Mantri, a seasoned banking professional with over 25 years of experience, as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Formerly associated with Citi India, Mantri brings a wealth of expertise gained across India, Singapore, and the UAE. The decision was formalized during a Bandhan board meeting, with Mantri assuming the role of CFO and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) effective February 22.
Rajeev Mantri takes over from Abhijit Ghosh, who had been serving as the Interim CFO and KMP. Ghosh will continue his responsibilities as the head of finance and accounts within the organization.
As a chartered accountant, Mantri's extensive career includes significant stints at prominent global banks such as Standard Chartered and Citi. In his most recent role, he served as the CFO for the Citi India cluster for the last three years. Before that, he held the position of CFO at TransUnion CIBIL. Mantri's experience also spans over 15 years with Standard Chartered Bank in senior finance roles across India and Singapore. Additionally, he has worked with Mashreqbank in the UAE.
The appointment of Rajeev Mantri as CFO underscores Bandhan Bank's strategic move to bring in experienced leadership to navigate financial functions and contribute to the bank's growth and stability.
