Collaboration between the private sectors of India and the US in defense technology has emerged as the next monumental phase of cooperation. The combined effort of these nations will benefit almost several other free nations in the world. On the grounds of business, the private sector is pivotal in defining the Indian economy, delivering high-quality components with a great level of fidelity, timeliness, and price. Hence, the collaboration into the private sector is critically a formidable phase for both the nations.
INDUS-X, a defense ecosystem between India and the US is a critically innovative approach to advancing cutting-edge technology cooperation and will be hosted by the US-India business council (USIBC) on June 20th and 21st 2023. It is designed typically in complementing the pre-existing government-government cooperation by promoting innovative partnerships between companies, investors, startup accelerators, and academic research institutions in both India and the US.
The approach is considered to be a good sign between the Indian Ministry of Defense (MoD) and the US Department of Defense of the signal, sent appropriately to American and Indian companies currently.
Lloyd Austin, the US Defense secretary’s visit to India last week has underlined the perseverance of both the nations to emerge as the preferred defense partner for each other. The collaboration between both nations’ defense sectors will likely elevate the productivity and profit margin of the nations, allowing each to drive down costs for the taxpayer, and thus, enhancing the capability. Mr. Austin’s visit and the agreements reflect an increased convergence of strategic perspectives by Delhi and Washington to partner with each other for an established mutual defense.
