Pressto India Names Sumant Kasliwal as MD & CEO
- Sumant Kasliwal named Managing Director and CEO, adding strong consumer and omnichannel leadership experience
- Focus on national expansion and D2C growth, driven by technology and improved customer experience
- Aim to reinforce leadership in premium Clean & Care, with consistent quality and scalable operations across India
Pressto India has appointed Sumant Kasliwal as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer as the company prepares for its next phase of growth in India’s premium Clean & Care market.
Based in Mumbai, Kasliwal will lead Pressto’s overall strategy and operations. His mandate includes expanding the brand’s retail footprint, strengthening direct-to-consumer and omnichannel capabilities, and improving customer experience while maintaining strong operational discipline.
Jayanta Banerjee, Director at Pressto India, said the company is excited to bring Kasliwal on board. He noted that Kasliwal’s experience in building consumer brands and scaling omnichannel businesses will play a key role as Pressto grows across new markets.
Kasliwal said India’s Clean & Care segment is evolving rapidly, driven by rising consumption and increasing premiumization. Customers are investing more in high-value garments, footwear, and accessories, but access to reliable professional care remains limited. He emphasized that trust, technical expertise, and quality are critical in this category, as customers cannot afford mistakes with products that carry both financial and emotional value.
He added that Pressto’s strong reputation, international standards, and focus on premium care provide a solid base for national expansion. His immediate priorities include improving convenience, turnaround time, and service reach through technology, while ensuring consistent quality and healthy unit economics.
